Marine Air-Ground Task Force Nashville Demonstration, 11Sept16

Marines from "Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force - Nashville" take part in the MAGTF demonstration at scenic Riverfront Park in downtown Nashville Tennessee on Sunday September 11th 2016. The MAGTF demonstration is a military operations simulation that showcases the assortment and power of the Marine Corps which exhibits the coordination of all four components of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force. In addition to an example of each rotary-wing aircraft the Marines operate, amphibious assault vehicles, military vehicles and Marine infantry also participated in the demonstration which delivered the Tennessee Titans game ball to their season-opener against the Minnesota Vikings. Marine Week, hosted by the United States Marine Corps in one city per year, is a celebration of Community, Country and Corps – providing the American public the experience of directly connecting with hundreds of Marines. From September 7th to 11th 2016, Marine Week Nashville featured hands-on static displays, live demonstrations, time-honored Marine Corps traditions, musical performances and other events to showcase the history, military capabilities and community involvement of the Corps.
